Idaten’s Mail
During an Area Investigation, send a unit that contains Vad to Shafferville and enter the stronghold. Vad will be reunited with an Old Man he has met before, and the Old Man will give you 
Idaten’s Mail.
Pedra of Bane
During an Area Investigation, send a unit to Jiram and enter the stronghold. You will meet an Old Woman who explains that their dog was killed during the battle and ask if you can bring them a new dog.
After speaking to the Old Woman, send a unit that contains a Hellhound to Jiram and enter the stronghold. On your second visit, if you brought a Hellhound, you will meet a Kid, the son of the Old Woman, and he will again explain what happened to their dog. Enter the stronghold a third time, and if the unit contains a Hellhound, the boy will ask if the dog is for him. Choose option 1 (“Take good care of it?” or “Take good care of it, okay?”) and the Kid will give you the 
Pedra of Bane.
If you do not have a Hellhound, you need to persuade one to join your battalion during a neutral encounter. Hellhounds can be found in the barrens near Jiram.
